10 years of Duke of Edinburgh at Ravenswood School

This summer Ravenswood is supporting the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, who are celebrating their Diamond Jubilee.  That's 60 years of supporting people to meet personal challenges.

 

Ravenswood students have been entering for Bronze and Silver Awards for the past 10 years.  They have gained so much through hiking, camping, cooking on open fires and volunteering in the community.  Their personal achievements have been amazing.  This July, 7 students will be off to Glenny Woods to set up camp.

 

Acknowledging the fantastic support the DofE Award Scheme provides we want to support them by entering the school in a challenge - A relay race in 100m legs, carrying the Olympic baton!  We aim to keep the baton moving all day, with each child and adult taking their turn to run (walk) as far as they can.
