It was lovely to see so many parents, carers and employers at the Post 16 Work Experience celebration assembly yesterday afternoon. Students reported on skills learnt and difficulties overcome in their placements. The students from Post 16KJ and JM showed slides and told us about their placements; it was great to hear about individuals serving lattes, cleaning buses, replenishing stock, signing-in visitors, cleaning ponds and even holding snakes! The students from Post 16BJ showed us a video of themselves doing a wide variety of gardening jobs.
The P16 Council made cakes to sell in aid of Marie Curie Trust during the afternoon and served these with refreshments at the end of the presentation. We are so proud of the confidence and skills students gained at their work experience placements.
