On July 11th, a beautifully sunny day, pupils from Yellow and Green classes at Ravenswood met with Milton class from Baytree School at Ashton Court to enjoy a morning of 'Outdoor and Adventure'. After a drink and biscuit pupils set off on the orienteering course, approx one mile through woodland and fields with fantastic views over Bristol. Everyone had a set of instructions to follow to find 10 different animal pictures, placed at random points in the wood. Everyone enjoyed searching for the symbols and walking in such a lovely place. The last picture brought both schools safely back to the busses for another drink and time to join in with flying kites, bubbles and parachute games. All too soon it was time for our pupils to head back to school for lunch.
Collaborative work enhances PE and sport in both schools and provides an opportunity for best practice to be shared. Many thanks to staff for organising the paper work to enable pupils to access this event.
