P16 classes recently enjoyed a visit to the Bristol and West Progressive Synagogue. The visit gave us lots of opportunities to find out about the Jewish religion and how others worship. Students tried on Kippahs (Jewish head covering) and prayer shawls. They were also given the chance to look around the synagogue, see the holy scroll (Torah) and learn a song in Hebrew. At the end of the visit, we were invited to try a special Jewish bread called Challah which was delicious!
Many thanks to Iris Segall for such an inspiring experience.
