Friday 11th July was our Eco DAB Day. Our Heads of Departments were joined by Holly Atkins (CIAG Lead) and our Eco-School Council to create a fun day for the whole school to learn about how we can make the world a better place. Holly and the wonderful School Council gathered ideas for us to deliver on this day that furthered our thinking about the part we play in helping look after the environment. This included making bug/butterfly houses for a new butterfly garden, sharing sensory stories in the library reading and exploring eco-friendly books, as well as a recycled fashion show in the hall, which involved choosing an adult to model repurposed clothes/material outfits. The pupils learnt about looking after the environment and nature, how to care and look after them, as well as the importance of caring for our environment. This was a really fun day and we have been looking forward to sharing the video with you all. Enjoy...
